William is a little boy that has fought more health battles than any child should. He has a history of epilepsy and has limited mobility due to reconstruction on both feet. He has suffered from partial hearing loss, and now, the onset of blindness to his left eye.
In December 2025, it was discovered that William had an inoperable brain tumor that has contributed to many of these issues.
Over the next many months, he underwent intense chemo to shrink the tumor, ringing the Chemo bell in April 2026, only to discover he had a life-threatening infection that landed him back in the hospital for two weeks. Once cleared, he and his family packed up their lives and headed to Washington, DC, where he endured 6 weeks of radiation.
William has been in and out of hospitals and treatments for 8 months, and although he was able to return home this summer and resume as normal of a childhood as possible, the journey is far from over.
William’s latest scans showed that the mass is still there. The good news is that it hasn’t grown. The hard part is that they don’t know exactly what we’re looking at yet.
He continues to have coordination and balance issues, along with headaches and fevers that they are trying to find the cause of.
William continues to press on, although tired and emotionally drained, his courage, humor, and ability to keep smiling is an inspiration to those around him.
“We know there are still unknowns ahead, and we’d be lying if we said that wasn’t scary. But we’ve also learned that hope and uncertainty can exist at the same time. For now, we’re choosing to celebrate the stable moments, soak up every chance for William to just be a kid, and trust God with everything we still don’t have answers to.” -Williams Mom
When Called Beyond Adventures learned of William and his family’s story we started praying and what came together was more than we could have imagined. A couple packages were soon shipped out- one with an outdoors bible and special blanket for William to have in the hospital, and the other, a package from the Duck Commander Headquarters, along with a video that you can see below!
We are so excited to team up with Duck Commander and give William not only the hunt of a lifetime, but to give his entire family a break from hospitals and diagnoses and to step into the field, where they have always been most happy together.

*Originally, we planned for a duck hunt for William, but due to some providential circumstances, the hunt has changed to a deer hunt on the Duck Commander property, in a blind with some of the Duck Commander crew!
